It is amazing to watch the maternal bond of animals. This Angus cow is very proud and protective of her two day old calf. She had a beautiful little bull calf and he is strong and lively. I love to watch the interactions of our cows and their calves. This little guy was so intent on showing the other calves that he was "king of the hill" until an older calf taught him otherwise. Immediately he ran over to his mother and stopped to look at her as if she was silently scolding him. I like their reflections in the water. This is a daily part of ~ the country life I love. ~ on our ranch in Texas
