Gavin Dorsey, my grandson, captures a special image of Mother Teresa who served the poorest of the poor in India and ignited an order of sisters to do the same for the whole world. In a recent biography, the author tells about her spiritual journey and the long period where she lacked the consolation of the Lord in her work but she never gave up. She uttered the name Jesus with an impact only a few could ever do. It wasn't until she recalled that when she asked the Lord for the gift of serving the poorest of the poor, she said to the Lord you can even take all consolation from me but just let me serve the poorest of the poor in my life. Imagine even the state of India honoring her with a State Funeral. Pray of her intercession in everything you do in serving those who you love or in any mission in life you may have.
