Description
One March afternoon I was driving home from a short shopping trip to a local store when I saw Mount Pilchuk overshadowed by billowing clouds. Instantly I knew I needed to go home to grab my camera and gear and see if I could race back in time to catch the dramatic clouds in the background of the snow covered peak. But first I had to find an unobstructed viewpoint, as I was surrounded by trees, houses and other obstructions such as power lines and poles. So I drove down a road I had rarely if ever driven, in an effort to find a good spot to shoot from. I quickly found a soccer field that offered a good view, so I quickly drove home to get my camera and gear, and got back in time to capture this image. Thankfully the clouds were moving extremely slowly, as they add drama to an already beautiful scene.
