I was born in Emmett, Idaho on August 11, 1961. I entered the military when I was 17 in 1979 and served on active duty until 1983. I met my wife in 1984 and we are still married today. I entered the Army National Guard in 1985 and served till 1994. When 9/11 happened we were all affected in different ways and I decided in 2004 to reenter the Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq.
