This weekend I want to bring attention to the Mountain Lions of the West in the USA! So many sightings in the Suburbs do to loss of territory, water and food shortage, thus weakening their genetics. My first love as a wildlife illustrator and painter is graphite pencil and charcoal art drawings. The Cougar (Mountain Lion) is Americas Lion, as their territory diminishes preserving their beauty makes them one of my favorite subjects. Beautiful and cunning as this one is watching its prey I love capturing the big cats in wildlife art. By purchasing a print of Mountain Hunter 15% of proceeds with be donated to The Mountain Lion Foundation.

I love action with my subjects, horses running with wind in their manes or big cats on the prowl and lots of expression. Also People and Pet Portraits are fun to draw and paint as they bring joy to the recipient My favorite mediums are graphite pencil, charcoal and watercolor with colored pencil on tonal papers the news medium added to my résumé.
