Description
Here is another close-up detail of my original clay relief, Mountain Meadow. It is now in the process of being cast into bronze, and will soon be available. This detail shows one of the most delightful flowers of our Wyoming mountains, the Elephanthead. You can see why they're called that! When I'm sketching them among the wild grasses and butterflies, I can almost hear them trumpet! The elephanthead here is flanked on the left by the wild primrose, with buds and leaves, and on the right by the fancy wild geranium leaf.
