Love this duvet cover in the Tree Fort Suite of the Elk View Lodge, Fernie, BC, Canada.
While out driving the back roads of Hunt, TX, I found a free-range chicken farm with chickens of every size, shape, and color. I managed to meet one of the owners, and was treated to a lovely time photographing the chickens. Mr Rooster represents a bit of an experiment: I limited myself to three colors when painting him. My favorite medium is transparent watercolor. I love the way the paper glows through layers of paint, and the way the paint has a mind of its own. Only with watercolor can you not assume that the paint will be obedient and stay where and as you put it. It is very much a living medium, that(on good days) cooperates with the painter to create art.
