F/L This is an excellent capture of this lovely Bluebird. The details are awesome. You did a very nice job of capturing the detail in her feathers. The catch light in her eye adds to the beauty of this image.

I have swallows around my house, but not bluebirds. Perhaps next year... Thank you very much Betty.

Yes. Your photo shows me grays and more that pop! We have a pair (rare hereabouts) and the female sits only 10-15 feet away but I never appreciated the colors you captured. Good work! We have 5 newbirds in the nest now...with about one bright blue feather each! I promised if they stayed I'd buy mealy worms. They did; I did! Friendly companions....

I thought about that but I couldn't match them up to satisfaction as the light was so different. Alas! I'm afraid she is doomed a spenster (archaic word). Thanks Bob

Thank you Adele! I think if there were no males to compete with, we would appreciate the subtlety of her colors much more.

A fine looking lady. She would look good hanging next to Mr Bluebird. I do like the way she is looking at you :) - v/f/g/su

Wonderful capture with a great expression on her face, as if she see's you and is wondering what you're doing! :-) I've seen this expression before and it's so much fun and rare to capture it as well as you did here! Very nice!
