This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?

Found this beautiful Iris at the Indian Creek Winery located in Kuna, Idaho..
Irises are perennial plants, growing from creeping rhizomes (rhizomatous irises) or, in drier climates, from bulbs (bulbous irises). They have long, erect flowering stems which may be simple or branched, solid or hollow, and flattened or have a circular cross-section. The rhizomatous species usually have 3 to 10 basal sword-shaped leaves growing in dense clumps. The bulbous species have cylindrical, basal leaves.
The iris flower is of interest as an example of the relation between flowering plants and pollinating insects. The shape of the flower and the position of the pollen-receiving and stigmatic surfaces on the outer petals form a landing-stage for a flying insect, which in probing for nectar, will first come into contact with the perianth, then with the stigmatic stamens in one whorled surface which is borne on an ovary formed of three carpels. The shelf-like transverse projection on the inner...
About Robert Bales
I am a retired teacher, coach, and athletic director. While my wife, Judy, and I were teaching she had a photo studio, and I had a dark room where I did black and white and color. We sold Last Class a few years ago and bought a small house in Yuma, Arizona and bought another one in Emmett Idaho. Now we spend the summers in Emmett and the winters in Yuma. Over our 50 years of marriage, we have always had an interest in photography and both of us enjoy taking the photos for this site. I have always used Cannon cameras and now I am using the 7D for most of the...
