I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

From the website - www.neworleanswaxmuseum.com- comes the following description of the museum and its figures: "Representing more than three yeas of careful research and painstaking craftsmanship, Musee Conti depicts the exciting history of New Orleans and the Louisiana Territory. There are 154 life-size figures sculpted in wax, and displayed in historically accurate settings. In addition to our historical exhibit, we also have a Haunted Dungeon. These details may be of interest: Ordinary beeswax is mixed with a secret chemical compound that hardens the material and increases its resistance to extremes of temperature. Wax, like human skin, is slightly translucent; the coloring is infused beneath the final layer, thus accounting for the uncanny similarity to human flesh. Each strand of human hair - imported from Italy - is inserted separately with a special needle. This laborious process achieves the realism we seek. All male figures are given complete beards; if you look carefully a...
