Description
The Musee' de l'Orangerie is an art gallery that houses impressionist and post-impressionist paintings of Claude Monet and other famous painters/artists. In particular, Claude Monet's famous water lilies are located in two separate oval rooms. There are a total of eight compositions in these two oval rooms that was done specifically for this museum. They are set up at the suggestion of Monet so that the visitor can completely immerse themselves in the paintings and forget about the outside world.
On my trip, this was on my list of "must see" places, because of these paintings. When I arrived and saw the size of the paintings, I was in awe and immersed in the thrill of seeing these paintings. Monet is my favorite artist and his water lilies are my favorite collection.
