Description
We often see wild mustangs as we drive across Wyoming, and we have a mustang mare adopted from the wild and a gelding born after his mother was adopted. They are a stunning sight as they gallop across the high plains with the other animals of the prairie. I began this woodcut as a quick demo for students, then finished it later.

A true fave, Dawn, love this as I love the mustangs and hope to see them still run free in this country. Excellent artwork as always!! F/L

This is just MAGICAL! There is something about a woodcut that takes one back to the wonderful books of childhood - or to old books and classics. It EVOKES like nothing else can do. In fact, the absence of colour combined with the power of strong lines pushes the imagination immediately to create a picture in the head more dynamically than a colour picture, however, wonderful, could do. I see this picture ... and I'm there with the horses! Woodcuts, for that specific technical reason of technique, are DEE, imaginatively as well as literally, of course. F/V!

I like these frisky animals, no matter what they are "up to". YOU really brighten my day when I visit your site on FAA. You are so multi-talented that is is hard to believe you are just ONE person. Smiles. Also thanks for your comments about "Here We Go Again".
