His name was Steve, (not to be confused with another Steve I was involved with as he came later in my life), we used to write to each other in the1960's when I was only 17 he was near the same age, he advertised on the pen pal page in The Jackie, I think he came from Northampton, I remember saying my older brother was born there, I can't really remember what he did for a living wether he was a student like myself, everything is vague, but I remember this painting and why I did it, I had intentions of sending it to him, but didn't think it was good enough...I got his likeness ok without a doubt as I had a photo he sent me in Black and white he was pictured with his father in a garden or field as there was a lot of grass in background hence the green in portrait. I remember he wore a bi-colour shirt and it was top fashion then, his was in navy and white rather than the usual black, he had a jacket slung over his shoulder in the same colour, I painted that in there, I did it in colour fro...
I am an artist and photographer I studied art in both Liverpool and Southport, I have works in acrylics, pastel, pencil, pen, ceramics, watercolours and photography, my work varies from portraits to landscapes abstract and still life, in both art and photography. I also use mixed media mixing some of my hand painted and sketched art with digital media and I have floral works in photography and digital designs.
