Thank you so much Ramesh. Your encouragement will work like a tonic on me :-))

wow ..........its very beautiful .........

Cool work, evocative

Padmakar, thank you for the nice comment about my "City Solace". That gave me a good excuse to re-visit your FAA gallery. I like this intriguing one because of the interesting use of color on the primarily green background. I inject a lot of meaning into your work. Thanks for sharing.

How iteresting...you do like footprints don't you? I can understand why...I mean, when you really think about it, they show exactaly where you've been.

Hi Padmaker, I was drawn to this and did not even notice that the bright colors were footprints until I read Van Cordle's comments. I love the contrast between these footprints and the green background.

your gallery is beautiful ! and thank you very much for the wonderful words about my work and for the fav !

Excellent work Padmakar! I love the green color, it reminds me of walking in the green forest!....Natalie

Beginning with an outstanding photograph, the ability to crop and rotate the image, along with quality card stock, envelopes and box. The Best!

I bought notecards, so I don't really have a photo to upload, but thank you for having this particular image available! I have been looking for it for a number of years. The artist lost two sons in World War I. He also painted the murals in the Chapel of the Dead in the Jesuit parish in Paris where his sons are memorialized the same year he painted this image, which he later gave to a family member who was ordained as a priest. This was Pierre Teilhard de Chardin's favorite image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus . . . he gave a card of this image to a friend during World War II, and he had it on his desk when he died in New York City in 1955. If you have any knowledge of where the original painting is, I would love to know! I hope to go to France someday and would love to see the original painting.

Artist's Description

Part of my series, "Intra-Psychic musings" The set of figuratives is my on-going series, loosely titled as "Intra-psychic communion". Nudes here represent complete psychological nudity in facing self, stripped off every defence. The theme essentially revolves around the masculine/feminine coding socially received, developted and acted upon with neglect of the other side and therefore the aftermath in our existence. A balanced state is where the masculine and feminine parts of self are in complete harmony with each other (represented through the two works on Communion) thus imparting a certain peace to the soul and giving the ability to act authentic, make choices without a care for stigma, and find fulfilment. This work represents the meanderings of self, caught in its own time warp . The set of life's instructions given in a well-meaning way in a sort of hand-me-down seems to be guide posts for life which worked uptil a point in life but do not seem to be relevant or valid any more....

About Padmakar Kappagantula

IT WILL BE WONDERFUL IF YOU COULD LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS IF YOU LIKE ANY OF MY WORKS.... I am a self-taught artist . I work mostly in acrylics with occasional forays into oils, pastels, conte crayons and water colours. To me the world of colours opens up infinite possibilities of mute expressions of the inner unconscious, of the psycho-spiritual realms and of the chaos both within and with out. It is a medium through which I try to balance out the existential issues and fill up the vacuum of inner spaces. I am fascinated by the grace of the human forms and that of nature, which finds its expressions through several of my works. Music and equally silence is a compelling force for me, along with personal relationships, which inevitably...
