This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?

The Last Trip Home
When I remember that last trip home -
what used to be home, anyway -
I wonder what it's for: the love, sacrifice, pain,
the breathing.
I knew the house had been deserted,
left in the deep wood to molder.
I don't know why the result of
such abandonment was a shock.
Wind and water will have their way.
Wild things will invade; teeth and claws
will chew and tear.
Ever-fertile weeds will multiply and prosper,
creating a living mantle of unchecked mayhem.
Even the ghosts of those who once
lived there have gone, leaving the shell
I found when I came home seeking
love and redemption.

A deserted old house and its vintage furniture slowly decay in slanted summer sunlight in the deep woods of rural Kentucky. Reimagined and painted from a photograph by my G+ friend Mr. Steve.

About RC DeWinter
Hello and welcome to my portfolio on Pixels/Fine Art America. One of my major artistic goals, with appropriate images, is to create digital paintings that you wouldn't know were digital unless I told you. If I could paint in oils I would...alas my eyes don't work with my hand, so I create most of my art from photographs that I re-imagine. Few of my digital paintings resemble the original photographs very much when I am finished with my vision. Of course I also create work that is clearly digital as well. Here's a bit about me: RC...

Love your digital oils. I'd like to try to learn these skills. Any suggestions for one to get started on?? The colors are so rich and so transparent! Especially like the reds in this marvelous porch furniture! Thanks!
RC DeWinter replied:
Just google digital art programs, Nancy. I start everything in an old version of Photoshop and use filters, brushes, textures, etc. and some old ancillary programs that are compatible with that version. I have no idea what the newest software does, I'm very happy with my retro stuff. Thank you.
Jack Zulli
Enjoy the treatment and the methods used in this work, delight to view;) vf
