The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This version of "Buffalo Crossing" was altered slightly to honor The 470 Air Base Squadron at Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base, Germany. Their base is home to NATO AWACS (the distinctive plane in the upper left), and their mascot is the Bison, with them subscribing to the Thundering Herd mantra!
