The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

A close friend of mine is a wonderful photographer. She has taken many very fine photos of numerous birds. I asked her recently if I could use her images as reference material for paintings, and she graciously agreed. This is the first of many of her images I plan to use for future paintings. Of course I am not replicating her photos, only using the birds as models for my own take with the painting. We have bluebirds in our backyard and we are thankful for their presence.
