I was stuck at home for 2 weeks and had nothing to do. As a young girl who wasn't living with her family at the time, I kept to myself. I was with fear that my family might be hurt, or that I would be just one of the unfortunate people who'd pop up dead in the news for tomorrow. The next day I saw in the news: hundreds, and soon, thousands of people donating and stepping on the frontline, helping us Houstonians survive this battle! My heart felt so light. I've always criticized my city because I felt as if everyone didn't care about each other anymore. This hideous hurricane turned out to be that one catalyst for the blooming of Houstonians' hearts. People are like Night blooming cactus flowers, they're rarely bloomed. Their true human nature is out in the surface for everybody to see, but under those outer petals, is the hope in Pandora's box.
