The raked gravel and topiary garden of Ninna-ji Buddhist Temple in north Kyoto, Japan. The japanese have a different philosophy about gardening. They prune, but sometimes they let the natural direction of plant growth go to extremes and just nurture it wherever it may go. I enjoy viewing the fruits of this philosophy.
