Description
Dimensions 24” x 36”, No. 1 in a series of three character studies with the theme of dance: my mother took me to tap, ballet and modern dance lessons when I was young, therein my interest in the exercise of grace and form influenced by music. There are so many different types of beautiful dances across cultures and millennia. From Latin America to Europe to the Middle East and Asia: a rich tapestry of human expression through movement and music. Ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, salsa, folk, western, swing and ballroom dancing--I probably left out a few--so much to enjoy! The idea of being suspended in air for a moment in time also interested me—all three in this series are as light as air.
