Nobody Lives Here No More metal print by Andre Van Vegten.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Design Details

The last remaining home in this block along Garfield Boulevard on Chicago's South Side, and now it has also been demolished.

About Andre Van Vegten

Andre Van Vegten

I was born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and moved to the U.S. in 1972. I have lived in the Chicago area since 1973. I graduated from the University of Chicago in 1979 with an M.A. in European History, but economic necessities prevented me from pursuing a post-graduate degree. In 1986, I joined the Chicago Police Department, working the South and West Side of the city, as well as all of the major Public Housing projects. I trained police recruits in the field, and was part of the Community Policing implementation team when that became the city's new policing strategy in 1993. In 1997, I was catastrophically injured during a high-speed pursuit, which ended my law enforcement career. Paralyzed from the chest down and...
