Description
Watercolours on and behind original ice background photo.
Mug size shot made to highlight the great odyssey of the discovery of America and its upper part, New France, as well as the French colonists’ settlement in the St. Lawrence valley.
This trip was done, at the time, on three-masted schooners, the kind of ships that transported our ancestors from the Old Continent to America. This saga began in the 16th century and lasted several centuries.
The three watercolors refer, from left to right, to the exploration, discovery and installation of the Europeans in New France, the Northern part of America:
1- Terra incognita;
2- Exploration;
3- Peuplement.
THE FINE ART AMERICA WATERMARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON ANY PURCHASED PRODUCT.
Dominique Fortier has created this artwork suitable for Coffee Mugs and Prints up to 84.000" x 36.750."
