Congratulations 🌻🌼🌷

FYI there is a decided problem with this depiction. In all SBDs, including specifically Cdr. Murray in Lt. Best's plane, prior to the dive the rear guns were stowed (as their weight would cause them to fling over forward into the gunner in the dive otherwise) the rear gunner faced forward and observed his instrument panel (there was an abbreviated one) and called out the altitude at each 1,000 feet in the dive until 5,000 feet and then called out hundreds of feet until release and pullout. This was so the pilot could concentrate on aiming the plane to lead the target. Only once the plane leveled in the pullout would the gunner again face aft to observe the bomb result while unstowiing his rear free guns as only then would the "gee" forces of pullout allow him to do so. In this case, I have that straight from Cdr. Murray. Other than that it IS an amazing picture!

Thanks. That's good information -- didn't know it. I am considering modifying the image to be more accurate, but I may leave it and call it artistic license on this one. I feel a little better knowing every other artist depicting this scene has made the same mistake!

Amazing image!

congrats on your sale.

Come June 4th, I've a note on my calendar to share this on the Anniversary. Wonderful vision, love the Dive Brakes!

Thank you very much -- that was my goal! VT-8 is definitely a possibility for future artwork. My to-do list grows longer everyday...

Amazing!!! As a huge buff of WW2 Pacific, I can honestly say this is the best art of Midway that I've seen in a long time!!! Would you ever consider a piece that covers the torpedo squadron's contribution to the battle?

One of my favorite aircrafts, you did a phenomenal job recreating history and telling a story! Congrats...

Robert this is Fantastic! v/f
