This is my first purchase from Fine Art America. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted to hang in our newly renovated master bathroom wall. Hi, my name is Derrel Hewitt. I was born in Oregon in 1963.My family came to Oregon in 1843, overland by wagon train from Missouri. I grew up hearing tales of the pioneer days in the beautiful state of Oregon. I love the beautiful places and people of the Pacific Northwest. My love for photography goes back to my boyhood, when I bought my first camera for 10 cents. It was a 620 rollfilm camera, with one shutter speed and one lens opening, and the old-fashioned winding-knob-and-red-window film advance system! Crude, yes, but effective. I bought my first 35mm adjustable camera a few years later, when I was in sixth grade, and have been shooting pictures ever since.
