I wanted to try painting an albatross themed seascape and decided to use my canvas vertically to emphasize the birds long wings, but I got carried away with the waves and my obsession with trying to paint perfect sunbeams resurfaced! ;) This made painting a larger bird unnecessary, I even wondered If I should paint one at all, though in the end I felt it added more atmosphere so went with a small one swooping in between the wave crests. :)
This is painted on a 55 x 40 cm canvas frame in acrylic paint.
