You've got a for sure winner here. Just really, really nice. We lived in the Santa Cruz mountains for a number of years, and we were surrounded by Redwoods. They are fascinating trees, especially when the wind blows and the whole dadgum thiing sways, not like most trees that the tops blow. We lived about 5 miles from the 1989 "San Franscisco" quake, though the epicenter was closer to Santa Cruz. We were on our day off and had gone on a drive, thinking we'd go to SF, but realized we'd be getting there just at rush hour, so detoured to a park that was solid redwoods. When the quake hit, the trees were undulating up and down nearly 4 feet. It was akin to someone putting toothpicks in a big bowl of jello, then shaking it. Quite a ride! Thanks for sharing this, and bringing back cool memories. Not of the quake! Just the country in that part of the world.

Glad to have help kindle old memories! TY for the comment.
