I am the artist who ordered these items. I was disappointed with the fleece blankets. The image printed crooked on 4 of the 5 blankets and the 'plush fleece' is very different from the plush fleece blankets I ordered previously. No where near as 'plush'. These blankets were unsellable. Also, one of the tapestries showed up with a thread that was pressed right into the fabric which made it unsellable as well. The reason I didn't ship these items back was due to the fact that by the time I received the order, there was insufficient time to return the order in time to meet the '30 day' from the date ordered deadline. This is the first time I've been disappointed with an order featuring my art by way of FAA. Sadly, it makes me hesitant to order again.

Artist's Description

I cruised the side roads south of Highway 9 looking for something to catch my eye. Nothing really jumped out at me until I was along the service road to King City radar. This view is looking south from the service road about halfway between Jane Street and the Doppler radar. It was bitterly cold with a strong southwest wind. Snow devils were being spun up by the wind whipping around the edge of the distant forest. I tried painting with my gloves on but I couldn't really feel the brushes. I tried painting with my gloves off but I couldn't feel my fingers. I did most of this painting without gloves. The paint started to freeze and that's when you have to resort to kerosene. The title is a play on either the "Wizard of Oz" movie where everyone was off to see the wizard or the Jimmy Buffett song "Off to See the Lizard" which is also a play on the name of the movie. Technically, this was not a blizzard but it sure felt like one.

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
