Artist's Description
The Memphis zoo has four large crocodiles in their exhibit and this is the big daddy of them all. He crawled out of the water and came to rest with just his head showing out of the grasses. I was amazed at his gaping jaws and massive teeth but couldn't figure out why he sat there with his mouth open. Then I spotted the little bird just inside the jaw line and realized the croc was having his teeth cleaned by the bird - a truly symbiotic relationship.

Terry is retired and enjoying the opportunities to pursue photography, art, writing and getting back to nature. After a 22 year career in the USAF, he settled into a new career in Human Resources until deciding retirement was a lot more fun than working. His photography reflects the beauty of the low country marshes, creeks, rivers and beaches of the South. Golf is also a passion of retirement with many photographic images of courses around the country. He paints in watercolor and writes blogs about his photographic adventures around the area and hopes you'll take the time to check them out.
