Thank you Kathy. It is neat to find old relics like this. Sometimes people buy and collect, but this place actually was a gas/service station at one time with a few things added.

I love my new bag. It is so beautiful. I work in schools with children who have hearing loss and they love my bag. I get to share information about hearing loss with teachers in the school when they ask about the lovely picture. I also tell them about Ms. Soares. Thanks for sharing her story. It makes the picture even more unique. I had a difficult time choosing from all the options just related to hearing but fell in love with all of her offerings on this site. The quality of the bag is great also.

I purchased this for a gift and the recipient was blown away. The artistry is alive in this bag with Frida. Perfect!

I absolutely LOVE Monica's artwork and it's extra special to be able to carry her artwork around with me wherever I go. Quality of the bag is good, too!

I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Remembering the day when oil for your car came in a can, and someone at the service station was nice enough to check it for you. Not only did the attendant fill your car with gas, but he would also check other car fluids and top those off too along with the air in your tires.

About Janice Adomeit

My interest in photography goes back to when I was a child. Back then I would borrow the Kodak Instamatic 104 when I was allowed. I then graduated to using a Kodak Pony 828 that had also been my dad's camera. In the summer of 1979 I finally had saved enough money to buy my own camera. A brand not advertised as much on TV, keeping its cost down. A Konica TC, 35mm mechanical manual focus camera, with control of A, S, and M settings. The mechanical part of it was nice, because even if the battery would die I could set the camera and still use it. It also took a dunk into a river once. After drying it out, it kept on working (and still does). Like the Energizer bunny or a Timex watch (took a beating, yet kept on...). This was a...
