About Forrest Prater
This store is dedicated to the memory of my grandfather, Forrest Prater, by sharing with the world the artistic legacy that he left to me when he passed on. Forrest truly was one of our great western photographers, creating a massive collection of film slides, proofs, negatives, and self-developed prints whose subject matter stretches far and wide and that is comprehensive and impeccable. His body of work covers several decades from late 1940's thru early 2000's. Much of his work is on Kodachrome film, as well as Ansochrome, Fujifilm and others, and his cameras of choice were Nikon F3's and Mamiya 4x5's, all of which are SLR., none digital.
