Shannon Wells grew up in Upstate New York on a family farm. When he was young , his Aunt handed him a drawing pad and pencil to "Keep him out of trouble!", and thus, his interest in art began. Taking all of the art classes he could while in highschool, he was inspired by artwork in the fantasy genre such as those by Boris Vallejo, Wendy Pini, and Larry Elmore. His interest in art has recently been rekindled. He has taken several art classes at Cazenovia College to refine his technique.He entered three pieces into his first art show focusing on the Human Figure in 2012 and two of his pieces won honorable mention.
