Excellent find and image! L/V

James Eddy replied:

Thanks James. I appreciate your comment and l/v.

James, you are capturing images of the country I used to call my "back yard" when I was living in Chico and Paradise. I was never happy in the valley and would escape to the mountains every chance I got, which was often! Usually I had a fly rod in my hand! Your photography is exceptional, and I will take my time and look at every single photo you have on FAA :) f/v

James Eddy replied:

Thank you Mick for your great words of encouragement. I am sorta fond of the area too.

Nice find captured well

James Eddy replied:

Thanks Mike. I see this regularly but waited for the right conditions.

Great textures and colors,, love it!!

James Eddy replied:

Thanks Julie. It sorta reminds me of the Bonnie and Clyde car.

A crisp and colorful image of this abandoned old vehicle- very nice!

James Eddy replied:

Thanks Will. The late afternoon sun helped with the colors.

Striking image! That old car sure has seen better days.

James Eddy replied:

Thank you Ann. I don't know how it has lasted all these years.

Hand Towel Reviews (109)

Average Rating (4.54 Stars):

For a bird loving friend it’s perfect.Made her smile

It didn't turn out as good as I expected, although it is still very nice. I suspect it's because it is so much larger than the original painting. The colors are not nearly as bright as the painting, that is they look faded.

I would like a refund. It’s not the color as shown I wanted Dk brown as described in the picture shown.

Artist's Description

Located in Lassen County, California and originally owned by Captain William Weatherlow, the Susanville Ranch was bought by William Long in 1862 where it remained in the family until 1919. The new owners established a dairy in 1926 and leased it to the O'Kellys who operated it under the name of the Lassen Dairy until the 1930's. It is now a park and is a wonderful place to walk. This old car seems to stand guard and is a reminder of past days. (c) James Q. Eddy Jr.

About James Eddy

In my earlier bio I tried to describe a little about who I am and what I like to photograph. I debated whether any further information was necessary to describe me. Giving it more thought I suppose it is important to tell more of my story. In March 2008 I was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. Shortly before that I hemorrhaged in my eyes causing small blind spots in both. I spent a good part of that year in and out of the hospital receiving treatments. Today I am in remission and doing well. I still have blind spots that cause some difficulty in seeing. I have heard it said that going through something like that makes you see life a little differently. Although I had a pretty good outlook about life, I do see things...
