What a great memory for you! Once again, the colors are gorgeous, especially the roofs. We had a couple of pigs once, known to us as Ken and Dave, and we made the mistake of making them more pets than prospective food. We'd go out to the pen and they'd come running, flopping over so we could scratch their bellies. This was up in northwestern Washington, but we had some friends from Kentucky. They'd asked us to save the heads for them whenever we had them processed. They wanted the brains, and the rest to make head cheese. So anyhow, come butchering day, my wife was in town shopping when the mobile butcher showed up. We lived at an intersection in the country, and our drive way went through on two different roads. The butcher (my wife didn't even know I'd had them come out), set up out at the barn and started in. I'd told them to save the heads, and it wasn't long before the old boy brought them to the back door. I didn't know what to do with the darn things so I just put them on a platter and put the whole business in the refrigerator. After bit, my wife got home from her shopping. She parked in such a way that she couldn't see the barn or anything going on out there. She commences to bring in the groceries, opened the fridge door to put something away, and almost had a heart attack on the spot. There were Ken and Dave, heads on a platter, mouths half open and eyes WIDE open. I swear to goodness, I didn't know if I would live to see the new day! That all was something like close to 45 or 46 years ago, and we still tell the tale. She laughs (kinda) now, but it definitely took a while for her to get to that point. Sorry to be so long winded. favorited and voted on photo. Really great.

Love this! Got one for me and one for a friend. I framed it in a red painted frame to which I added red glitter. So cute!!

Love the painting, Hypatia is so pensive, I believe she is pondering her latest experiment!!! The muted colors add to the calmness of the painting.

this appears to be a printer (ink jet) type print. I was disappointed with the quality. I'm sorry.
