Oh, I love this version - beautiful mysterious vintage feel to it!! Kind of like an old photo found in an old trunk in Grandma's attic - and no one knows the the story behind it ~ a family mystery!! .. OK, seem to have gotten off-track here! :) Great job, Lisa!!! :)

Tapestry Reviews (17)

Average Rating (3.82 Stars):

I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

The Old Sheldon Church Ruins is a historic site located in northern Beaufort County, South Carolina, approximately 17 miles (30 km) north of Beaufort in the Sheldon area.[2][3] Contents [show] History[edit] Known also as the Sheldon Church or Old Sheldon Church, the building was originally known as Prince William's Parish Church. The church was built as a chapel of ease in the Greek Revival style between 1745 and 1753. Prince William's was burned by the British in 1779 during the Revolutionary War. In 1826 it was rebuilt. The following is from an article in the April 1969 Sandlapper Magazine by Charles E. Thomas, The Picturesque Ruins Of Old Sheldon Church. The official South Carolina report on the Destruction of Churches and Church Property, after the War Between the States, described Sheldons second burning: All that was combustible was consumed..., its massive walls survive the last as they did the former conflagration, Bishop Thomas wrote, Exactly as it...

About Lisa Wooten

I am a retired fitness instructor/personal trainer just wanting to show people the beautiful world we live in. The beautiful world God has given us. Beauty is around us everywhere, the matter is that we have to see it with different eyes. Everyone knows that a flower, a puppy or a sunset is beautiful, but there are many other things that deserve our attention and that are beautiful for other reasons than simply visual. Things tell us stories, everything you find in your way has something to say, an old building, an abandoned church, even old tools tell us about themselves. But, how do we make other people listen and find the beauty? Well, that's called "art". Art makes things talk by themselves and tell us their story, it gives real...
