SALLY Stember

She has been on my wall for over a year now. I love her every time I see her, which is every day. Stretched out easily, no creases to fret over.

Disappointed, not enough to return it, but still, had hoped for better. I selected this picture because it looked realistic, like a photograph. I ordered one of the larger sizes, the thing is huge - covers almost the entire wall. It lost the realism when it was blown up to that size. There are white spaces where there should be color. It looks more like a cartoon than a photograph. Actually, you can't really tell that easily what it is supposed to be. Too bad. I really like the original photo. They did a decent job of mailing it. It wasn't over folded. It stretched out easily and there were no creases to contend with.

She is absolutely lovely. The art itself is magnificent. If I may offer a small suggestion, the artist might not fold the fabric into such a small package. She was very badly creased. It took a bit of effort to remove the damage done by the excessive folding. The art is a total 5 star. The way it was package was a 2.

Realistic acrylic painting of the Oldsmobile Toronado, painted by the Dutch fine artist Paul Meijering - the Original painting is 90 x 120 cm and for sale
The Oldsmobile Toronado is a personal luxury car that was produced by Oldsmobile from model years 1966 to 1992. Designed to compete with the Ford Thunderbird and General Motors' own Buick Riviera, the Toronado is historically significant as the first U.S.-produced front-wheel drive automobile since the demise of the Cord in 1937. The Toronado placed third in the 1966 European Car of the Year contest, a distinction no other American car has achieved before or since, and won the 1966 Motor Trend Car of the Year award in the U.S.
It used the GM E platform introduced by the rear-wheel drive Riviera in 1963 and shared a year later with the front-wheel drive Cadillac Eldorado. Although each had quite different styling, the threesome shared the E platform for most of the Toronado's 28-year history.
For almost 33 years now, Paul Meijering has been active with the paint brushes. As a 17- year old inspired youngster he joined the Academy of Arts in Enschede (Holland) in order to receive a native training in drawing- and painting technique. At that time (1980) the tendency of the abstract was running riot, and to his dismay and disappointment Paul found that the trade of the ancient masters was merely 'old hat', the realistic art being disregarded and looked down upon. After two years of useless botchery, there was only one conclusion to draw: "get autodidact, be a self-taught person!" Paul then left the academy to work for a living, but at the back of his mind there always loomed the passion of his life: to paint. At his spare time...
