If any place in Rome has great restrooms take notes! St. Paul Outside the Walls has great restrooms! However, there are many other features of this basilica that are not just desirable but also beautiful. The columns on either side of the long arm of the sanctuary facing the nave are awesome in their repetition but also visually divide this large space into three distinct entities.

My subjects are both natural and architectural. I am interested in textures and shapes and how light and shadow play on those objects often creating new ones. I use a Nikon D-800, and an iPhone 10s Max. I make every effort to compose in the camera and thus I crop infrequently. I use Lightroom, Photoshop & NIK to work with highlights & shadows which often brings out the elements in a photograph for which I have primary interest. I have no hesitation using any other tool if the results make the photograph work. My preference is to do nothing to a photograph presenting it as it was taken.
