I REALLY DIDNT WANT TO DO OBAMA... ALTHOUGH I ADMIRE HIM SO MUCH... I DONT REALLY GO WITH WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING OR LIKE DOING FAMOUS PEOPLE, I PREFER TO DO EVERYDAY MOES... YOU MIGHT WANT TO SAY. BUT IN GETTING READY FOR AN EXHIBIT AN OBAMA WAS REQUESTED SO I HAD TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT, SOMETHING THAT REALLY EXPRESSED THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT MR. PRESIDENT AND THIS IS WHAT CAME OUT... WHAT DO YOU THINK...

I'm starting this out asking you to imagine a lot of curse words by me! I wrote a wonderful and long comment and then lost it (I'd rather say it got ran away, itself, etc.). I'm such a Klutz! Anyway, you are, contrastingly, such a fine artist. And professional, yet! I appreciate all your "description," Angela. Yeah, everyone's done a version of the Pres., and most of them, however good the likeness, have little artistic.merit, I think. I do think his face may be easier to draw than some because it is so normal (again I'll add "it seems to me as I should.) But yours shows such creativity in the composition: the transparancy of all except the top right behind, and face. Clearly, you know head dimensions better than most "artists" like me (who didn't try drawing him), and the subtle graditions of hues of head and neck and all is wonderful. And I love the ears because when I have tried drawing/painting them I can not get anything at all real (Is that why so many Vermeer, Rembrandt's, etc., have them wearing hats, scarves, etc.!) And you did it evidently so quickly, evidently, and on demand. I really don't like it too much when people ask me to do a certain painting; seems it is always something I don't want to do, or don't feel I can do well.) But then you are a professional, and I guess that is your business. I also appreciate your posted variety here, doing abstracts as well as the many portraits. I'll be watching you on FAA.
