My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.

ONE MAN'S TREASURE ON HISTORIC ROUTE 66 by PRISCILLA BURGERS
This Chevrolet Apache 36 displays the sticker, "U Toucha My Truck - I BREAKA U FACE" below the driver's door. This treasure of a truck can be seen parked below the decaying Ranch House Cafe sign in Tucumcari, New Mexico. The old Ranch House Cafe was opened in 1953 by Pearl and Dugan Barnett. Thier slogan of "Good Food Always - Always Good Food" was not enough to keep the cafe open on the Mother Road. Tucumcari was once an important stopover on Route 66. Huge signs encouraged weary travelers to make their temporary destination "Tucumcari Tonite," but today, only a fraction of the "2,000 rooms" and cafes advertised on the old billboards still exist.
