Open path laser absorption spectrometer. This instrument uses tunable diode lasers (TDLs) to focus on absorption wavelengths of the gaseous forms of compounds, allowing their concentration to be measured. This spectrometer has been tuned for simultaneous oxygen and carbon dioxide measurements. Photographed at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK.
