Description
This panel depicts the Lancaster bombers in the process of making repeated food drops to save the starving Dutch citizens under Nazi occupation at the end of World War II. You can see a Nazi solder in the foreground watching the "beginning of the end" of war in Holland and Nazi Germany's reign of horror.
All three pieces now hang in the Terbregge city hall in Rotterdam, Holland and were commissioned by Willem Ridder, who experienced this moment in history.
