I find lighthouses wonderful and captivating, structures of incredible architectural beauty, and monuments of earlier history with stories of ships fighting against the fury of a stormy sea. To reflect the dangers of the Ocean, I paint powerful waves crashing in fury against the shoreline. Also, the traumatic skies add to the atmosphere of the perils of the sea. Also, the contrast between the distinct darks and lights adds a point of interest in a seascape, especially if the contrast sets apart the light of the water and sky. It is a privilege to share the beauty of such places with the viewers of my art.
