I am the artist who ordered these items. I was disappointed with the fleece blankets. The image printed crooked on 4 of the 5 blankets and the 'plush fleece' is very different from the plush fleece blankets I ordered previously. No where near as 'plush'. These blankets were unsellable. Also, one of the tapestries showed up with a thread that was pressed right into the fabric which made it unsellable as well. The reason I didn't ship these items back was due to the fact that by the time I received the order, there was insufficient time to return the order in time to meet the '30 day' from the date ordered deadline. This is the first time I've been disappointed with an order featuring my art by way of FAA. Sadly, it makes me hesitant to order again.

Artist's Description

Looking west around 9 am on the morning of January 20th. The nimbostratus and light snow associated with a low-pressure area was still hanging around and I wanted to try the scene depicted in #0485 "The Grazed; Ungrazed; With Snow" again. The sun was on the eastern horizon and now more than ever blocked by the nimbostratus associated with the storm, which was now centered to the east. Once again, I relaxed and let the brushes and paint fly. As I was painting, three crows flew by the window so close that I could almost count the feathers. They later flew northbound across the hills so I put them in with a few flicks of the brush. I did this because a friend of ours claims that sarcasm is the sign of chronic depression and is terrified of seeing crows, especially three at a time. They are supposed to be omens of bad luck. I am not sarcastic at all - maybe a bit but always in a humourous way. Anyway, the three crows landed on the canvas in a good way. To me they are portents of good luck...

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
