Jesus resolutely emerges from the wilderness following His forty day fast. Having overcome the appetites of the flesh and the temptations of the adversary, He now sets His sights on the mission before Him - a mission that will culminate on the cross. We know little or nothing of what transpired during most of those forty days but we can assume that it served as a spiritual refiner’s fire.
