I am writing to share my thoughts regarding the zipper purse I recently ordered. While I appreciate the quality of the product, I was disappointed with its final appearance. Upon placing my order, I adjusted the image on the purse as allowed. However, upon receiving it, I noticed that the top portion of the subject's head was cut off, which detracted from its overall look. This was unexpected and quite disheartening. After reaching out to customer service for assistance, I learned about the template used during production. It was explained that similar issues could arise with future orders if adjustments are made. This information is valuable for my future purchases. While we briefly discussed a refund option, it required me to destroy the bag in order to receive a full refund. Although I'm not entirely satisfied with how it turned out, I recognize that it remains a perfectly usable purse. I want to emphasize that this issue does not reflect on the artist's talent; Stephen Hill is truly creative and skilled. Despite this experience, I remain open to making future purchases.

Your Zephyrus tote bag depicts an ad which was created in 1935 for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. The Zephyrus was a locomotive that they were promoting. The word Zephyr is from the Greek. It is the personification of the west wind and God of gentle breeze. It is also associated with Spring and flowers. Zephyrettes were train car attendants exclusively working in California Zephyr Dome cars. They wore suits with pencil skirts and pillbox hats, somewhat akin to a flight attendant, and were in service from 1936 to 1970 (except during the War years). They worked closely with the Conductor. Besides navy blue, over the years they wore brown, teal and gray suits as well as blue dresses with a white stripe down the side and green dresses with a similar orange stripe. In summer the suit was white worn with a navy blue blouse. I volunteer on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad which runs through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, just south of Cleveland, Ohio, and brought the Zephyrette to CVSR last July. I dress (the best part of the ensemble are seamed stockings!) and portray her when working in one of our Dome cars. She has been well-received by our passengers. Am including a photo of me in my brown suit holding your tote bag and I’m standing on the steps of our Silver Lariat Dome car, circa 1948. Also, I wear a Zephyr pin which you can see on my left lapel. So glad I happened to find your website while surfing the web. Your tote bag makes the ensemble complete and perfect. I also ordered one of your small zippered bags. Kind regards.
Rare is the person who does not get excited about an outing – a special day somewhere picnicking, shopping, hiking, or, in the case of artwork, Outing, an afternoon sailing with friends, in the sun and with no particular timeline.
Outing invites us to join the two on the sailboat, even though the craft is small and the couple looks cozy. In that case, Outing invites us to BE one of the two on the sailboat, and spend the afternoon in a slow cruise through the waters, waving at others in boats as they go by, unworried by work concerns, and most certainly not checking our phone for texts. The outside word can . . . stay outside for awhile, because there is more than enough to do with simply relaxing, thinking, talking, dreaming, planning, and being grateful for what we have.
Like all works of representational art done without an agenda, Outing takes the viewer to a different place, a place outside and away from where they are now, far from worries and concerns and to do li...
I am a fine art painter who creates representational images celebrating light, life, and color. A commercial illustrator for more than 20 years, I have been painting for most of my life, and in the last 18 years have focused exclusively on fine art. I celebrate images that invite the viewer to step into the artwork and experience a sense of joy, peace, freedom, encouragement, meditation, and thought. There's a lot of angry art out there, as well as a lot of shallow pop. I choose to use the abilities and experience I have to promote beauty and goodness.
Our return policy is very simple:
If you're not happy with a purchase that you made on FineArtAmerica.com, for any reason, you can return it to us within 30 days of the order date. As soon as it arrives, we'll issue a full refund for the entire purchase price. Please note - Fine Art America does not reimburse the outgoing or return shipping charges unless the return is due to a defect in quality.
Fine Art America sells thousands of pieces of artwork each month - all with a 100% money-back guarantee. We take great pride in the fact that hundreds of thousands of artists have chosen Fine Art America to fulfill their orders, and we look forward to helping you select your next piece!
