Artist's Description
This is a view from the Southwest side of Appleton City MO looking toward the small rural community. This retirement/farming community is home to approximately 1,100 - 1,200 people, generally toward the lower side. It is located on 52 highway about half way between the cities of Springfield and Kansas City MO. I have lived here all my life except for about a year. I use the term "lifer" when someone asks me how long I have been here! I don't think I could imaging living anywhere else...this is home!

You make the choice to have a good or bad day by the way you react to what is happening in your surroundings. When someone asks me, "How are you?", my immediate go to answer is "GLORIOUS!" People have came to recognize that as my "trademark"...it makes them smile! If I can make one person smile, my day has not been wasted! I enjoy a good sense of humor! I have been interested in photography since I was in the fifth grade of elementary school. "Gravel travel" along the back roads is one way we spend time together.
