Oysters - their sweet, lightly briny flavor of Gulf oysters is unmatched by any found elsewhere in the U.S. Once shucked, oysters are delicious served raw, fried, chargrilled, stewed, as Rockefeller or Bienville, and just about any other way you can imagine. In painting this oyster, I portrayed it in its simplest form - fresh in the shell, ready to eat with a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce - in this case, Crystal Hot Sauce.
