Description
It was cold, windy, and even drizzly, but we had come to the Washington Palouse to see a sunrise from the top of Steptoe Butte, so up we went. It was really tempting to just stay in the car, but I got out and set up my tripod. By the time the clouds separated a little, the sun was in the sky. Once the glory rays spilled onto the distant mountains, the play of light and shadow on the rolling hills began to work its magic. It was very special.

Such a glorious site; such a glorious morning; such a glorious light; such a glorious capture; and such a glorious beauty. That's what came to mind when I first saw this. Your composition, DOF and exposure are all flawless Nikolyn. This is what I would call an experience of a lifetime and you have managed to capture it in a special way.
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Thank you, Hany, for the very generous comment. I'm shivering now, just to remember how cold it was and how excited I was when the light broke through like this - let alone to read your comment LOL Thanks.
