Paradise Island (Hog Island, Nassau Harbour) 1817.
Active; focal plane 21 m (69 ft); flash every 5 s, generally white, but the light changes to red when conditions are dangerous for entry. 19 m (63 ft) round old-style brick tower with lantern and gallery, painted white; lantern painted red.
This is the oldest and best known lighthouse in the Bahamas and the oldest surviving lighthouse in the West Indies.
Located at the western end of Paradise Island (formerly Hog Island) marking the northwest entrance to Nassau Harbor.
