This painting is from my memories in Hawaii, the beautiful sunsets, palms and tropical flowers among the eerie abyss of the deep ocean, with volcanoes and sharks. Never knowing what was lurking in the deep blue.

I was born in St. Louis, MO but raised in Washington, PA. I was blessed to be raised in a loving family and we lived in the country where we spent many hours playing outside. I attended an airline school in MO then worked for a short period of time in New York City. I returned to PA where I worked in medical records at Washington Hospital for 6 years. When I was in my early 20's I helped found an organization, Christian World Outreach and when I was 24 I moved to the island of Haiti as a pioneer missionary for 3 years. In Haiti was when I first really began to appreciate art and I started dabbling with sketching. The Haitians are amazing artists and usually paint with bold colors. My memories of those days are depicted in my art work...
