It was a gift for a friend who has worked on these rigs. It’s now in his own company facility. He loves it.
This image is from the series " The Parallel Worlds"( created in 2002-2003).The series was specific, very important to me... There are days, periods when pictures crowd into my head by themselves. The stronger the more I am focused on painting. When other things don’t distract me.(..) when I was painting the series, one picture spontaneously followed another (in my head)– they were all 3D, full of motion, changing colours and shapes. I felt great peace and power, as if I were plugged into something. I made rough sketches to remember characteristic moments, and painting them later I had trouble deciding which colour to choose, which moment, which movement to trap(...)
“When I start painting, I automatically become peaceful, calm, joyful from within. All problems become distant and play no part at all. I am surrounded by protective space, isolating me from all destructive thoughts. I am fully immersed in the magic Universe of Nature, its spirits and elementals, cosmic landscapes of other dimensions, the world of Angels and the world of fairy tales, immersed in colour and light. If it is not so – then I don't paint, or rather I wouldn't be able to.” Anna was born in Warsaw, Poland and that is where she has been living most of her life.
